The Counseling Center at Cherry Hill hosts Free Naloxone Training seminars. Learn how you can save a life!

Naloxone is a drug which can reverse a heroin or prescription pain pill opioid overdose, if administered promptly and correctly. The most popular brand of naloxone is Narcan®, which is available over the counter under special rules established by the State of New Jersey as part of ongoing efforts to battle the current opioid crisis.

Learn How You Could Save a Life from Overdose

These prevention seminars, funded by a grant from the State of New Jersey and provided by grantee non-profit organizations, teach you about how naloxone works, how and when you can safely administer naloxone, and the rules governing nalxone purchase, possession, and use.

Learn the Naloxone Rules, and Know your Rights as a Good Samaritan

Did you know that naloxone can work within seconds, waking someone up from what would have been a deadly overdose if a few more minutes had passed? Did you know that NJ law requires certain actions be taken every time naloxone is administered, even by a public citizen? Did you know that Good Samaritan laws can protect you when you voluntarily intervent to try and save someone's life, but not always?

Learn the rules and learn how to save a life!
